The Opportunity
Selfwealth by Syfe is looking for a Head of Australia to take the helm of our Australian operations. With full P&L accountability and the backing of Syfe Group, you will lead our local expansion, drive a high-performance culture, and oversee everything from product innovation to daily operations.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercial-first leader to transform a trusted brand into a modern, agile powerhouse.
- Strategic Market Leadership: Take charge of Australia—a primary growth engine for Syfe’s regional expansion—backed by significant capital and long-term executive support.
- P&L Ownership & Autonomy: Run the Australian business as your own. You are responsible for the bottom line, revenue growth, and high-level execution across the board.
- Cultural Catalyst: Lead the evolution of Selfwealth from a traditional model into a fast-paced, scale-up environment that prizes agility and innovation.
- Product Visionary: Define the roadmap for Australian investors. You’ll make the critical “build vs. buy” calls and ensure our product suite meets the needs of a sophisticated market.
- Cross-Functional Management: Lead a Melbourne-based team of over 60 professionals across Product, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
- Regional Synergy: Work hand-in-hand with Syfe’s Singapore headquarters to align global resources with local strategic goals.
- Market Influence: Serve as the face of the brand within the Australian fintech ecosystem, engaging with high-net-worth segments and shaping our industry positioning.

- Scale-Up Expert: You have a track record of leading teams of 60+ within high-growth tech environments. Note: We are looking for “builders,” not “maintainers”
- Commercial Product Leader: You approach business through a product lens. You know how to link feature development directly to revenue and P&L success.
- Change Agent: You have successfully navigated business transformations, shifting organizational cultures toward speed and customer-centricity.
- Locally Embedded: You are well-connected within the Australian financial services and fintech landscape.
- Strategic yet Tactical: You can design a five-year vision in the morning and dive into execution hurdles in the afternoon.
- High-Accountability Culture Builder: You know how to attract top talent and foster a values-driven workplace.
- Investment Enthusiast: While you don’t need to be a career investor, you must have a genuine passion for personal finance and the investing world.
