About the role: Due to the rapid growth, we are now seeking a driven Accounts Officer who will support our finance team with Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. Based in our Banksmeadow office, this role reports to the Accounts Supervisor and will be a key member within the finance team. Key Responsibilities: – Manage the AP functions related to processing supplier invoices, employee related expense claims and third-party payments. – Manage payment of suppliers in accordance with payment terms. Prepare electronic funds transfers. – Respond to supplier account queries and resolve any invoice discrepancies in a professional and timely manner. – Produce weekly AP reconciliation reports and ensure these reconcile to supplier statements. Assist with month end closing reports and reconciliations. – Regularly monitor the completeness and accuracy of supplier records and master files. – Complete intercompany contra reconciliations and work with international SEKO accounts teams. – Daily bank reconciliations into Cargowise, matching customer payments and supplier payments. – Issue timely and accurate invoices and statements to all Clients and request timely payment of outstanding debts. – Resolve any Client dispute and assist in a payment plan if required. – Conduct credit checks for new customers and complete credit application for new supplier. – Support the Finance team in investigating any invoicing queries. – Assist with internal and external audits. – Other duties as required from time to time. About You: – At least 3 years experience in a similar Accounts / booking keeping role – Qualifications – accounting, bookkeeping, finance accreditation (desired). – Previous experience in Cargowise or freight industry (Required). – Excellent oral and written communication skills to all levels within an organisation. – Intermediate to advanced user of Word, Excel and Outlook. – Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills.
