Maintenance Manager

Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations across the business. This role is crucial for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning optimally and supporting production efficiency and meeting safety standards. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of technicians and specialist trades to implement preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate repairs in order to minimise equipment downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment and to reduce downtime
  • Lead the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
  • Manage the scheduling of routine maintenance tasks while minimising disruption to production schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on operational goals and priorities
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policy and legislative requirements
  • Coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel and ensure safe work practices are complied with
  • Respond to breakdowns and implement timely repairs
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical and operational issues
  • Contribute to design improvements for equipment efficiency and safety
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors for specialist maintenance and technical support
  • Manage and coordinate the install and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery
