Well-regarded NSW Government agency seeks an experienced Senior Researcher to identify gaps and recommend outcomes. Applicants with experience working with First Nations communities and/or policy areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a 3-month contract role based in Mascot with an immediate start and flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Job…..

In this Researcher role, you will be responsible for:

• Conduct evidence-based research and analysis to support priority reforms.
• Review academic research, community engagement reports, and other relevant sources to gather insights.
• Identify policy and knowledge gaps through literature review and community engagement findings.
• Undertake additional desktop research as required to fill identified gaps.
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable outcomes per priority reform.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to test, validate, and refine outcomes.
• Deliver outcomes supported by referenced evidence to contribute to informed decision-making and policy development.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:

• Skilled in researching and analysing academic and community materials to develop practical outcomes.
• Experience in community engagement with cultural sensitivity.
• Able to investigate gaps in existing research.
• Experience with outcomes frameworks preferred.
• Strong writing skills to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
