Facilitator – Children and Young People

Casual Facilitator – Children & Young People (8–17 years)

📍 Melbourne & online | 💰 $43.23/hr + super | 🗓 Casual (school holidays, some weekends), immediate start.

Satellite Foundation is looking for creative, warm and youth-centred facilitators to help deliver fun, engaging programs for children and young people who have a family member with mental health challenges.

You’ll co-facilitate creative workshops, play-based activities and light-touch mental health content across online sessions, full-day programs and occasional camps. Our programs are all about connection, creativity and feeling safe to be yourself.

This role is for you if you:

• Have experience working with children or young people (8–17)
• Love using creativity, play or storytelling to engage groups
• Can hold wellbeing conversations in a gentle, age-appropriate way
• Bring empathy, curiosity and great teamwork skills
• Have (or are open to drawing on) lived experience of family mental health challenges

📅 Availability during Victorian school holidays is essential, as is a drivers licence and access to a vehicle.

You must be available for work on:

• Induction and training all day Monday 16th – Wednesday 18th March
• A Camp Facilitation Workshop all day Tuesday 24th March
• A Camp Induction all day Thursday 2nd April
• A multi-day camp outside of Melbourne from Tuesday 14th -Thursday 17th April.
