The Role
SafeGauge is seeking a practical and detail-oriented Product Compliance & Testing Coordinator to support the ongoing management and development of our global product compliance framework.
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the opportunity to take ownership of compliance coordination across a growing range of globally deployed products.
This is a coordination and documentation-focused role, not an engineering or design position. The role is centred on managing compliance documentation, supplier information and certification processes rather than product design.
You will work closely with engineering, purchasing and operations teams to ensure compliance requirements are identified early, testing is coordinated effectively, and documentation is maintained across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify components requiring compliance documentation
- Work with suppliers to obtain required compliance documents (RoHS, REACH, SDS, declarations etc.)
- Coordinate product testing and certification activities with external laboratories
- Identify required compliance testing based on product design and target markets
- Obtain and review quotes from test labs and support compliance cost planning
- Track testing timelines, costs and certification status across projects
- Maintain and organise compliance documentation within internal systems
- Support engineering teams to ensure compliance requirements are considered early in design
- Follow up outstanding compliance documentation and test results
- Help build structured processes for managing compliance across the product lifecycle
- Support ISO9001 documentation and audit requirements
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Demonstrated experience in a compliance administration, quality or documentation-focused role within a manufacturing or technical environment
- Experience managing compliance documentation such as supplier declarations, SDS, RoHS/REACH documentation and certification records
- Experience coordinating with external test laboratories or certification bodies
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation, follow up suppliers and track multiple workstreams
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) or product structures from a documentation or compliance perspective
- Ability to interpret compliance requirements and apply them in a structured, process-driven way
- Strong attention to detail and persistence in following up incomplete or missing information
- Good communication skills across purchasing, engineering and external suppliers
This role is suited to candidates from compliance administration, quality coordination or documentation-focused backgrounds rather than engineering or product design roles.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Modern tools, facilities and real-world product impact
- Supportive, fast-moving team environment with mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Flexible work arrangements and on-site parking
- Opportunities to work on globally deployed safety technology
- Novated leasing options and genuine work-life balance
