The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our Construction team.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading construction projects through all phases of delivery, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role will see you working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients while also mentoring and supporting our growing team of Site Managers and Cadets.
Standard working weeks are 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage complex construction projects to a successful and timely completion
- Effectively identify and meet customer’s requirements, build productive relationships, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction
- Lead and direct all phases of assigned projects, managing project baselines and ensuring compliance with policy and procedures and Australian statutory and customer requirements
- Mentor & provide leadership to our growing young team of PM’s, CA’s & Supervisors
- Monitor the progress of a multifaceted team of employees and subcontractors
- Management of project budgets
- Develop, monitor, and manage programming for allocated projects
- Manage and oversee procurement of trades and suppliers
About You:
The successful candidate will be a confident and capable construction professional with proven experience managing commercial or industrial projects. You will bring strong leadership skills, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to manage multiple project demands while building positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Degree, Trade Qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial and/or industrial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and contract law
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead teams and perform under pressure
