RSA is seeking skilled professionals to join our expanding team in either a Workshop-based or Field Service role to maintain and repair our diverse mobile heavy plant fleet. This position operates on a day shift only, with accommodation and meals provided if working away. Please note, RSA is an approved Standard Business Sponsor.
Workshop Role: Based in our Dalby Workshop, you will be responsible for mechanical servicing, repairs, and maintenance of our fleet. Enjoy the stability of returning home each night on a 5/2 roster, with potential future opportunities for field service work. Accommodation can be provided.
Field Service Role (DIDO/FIFO): Travel to project sites across QLD and NSW, providing on-site maintenance and repair services. This role offers a varied work environment with diverse challenges so experience/willingness to work away is essential. Vehicle, meals and accommodation provided.
Your Responsibilities
- Mechanical servicing and support;
- Preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications, and machinery overhaul;
- Hydraulic and electrical diagnostics; and
- Component rebuilds, including engines (light plant to CAT 3412s), transmissions, differentials, hydraulic pumps/cylinders, and associated valving.
- You’ll be working on a variety of machinery, including graders (140-16M), scrapers (623 – 657), dozers (D6 – D10), loaders, excavators, articulated/on-highway trucks and fixed plant.
About You: To excel in the role, you should:
- Hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) with proven experience;
- Hold a valid, open manual Australian Driver’s Licence;
- Hold a General Construction Induction (White) Card, or willing to obtain;
- Have experience or a strong willingness to learn about the construction industry, civil engineering, and environmental principles, including relevant legislation and standards;
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, essential for effective teamwork and collaboration.
