Experienced Support Worker for NDIS Participants

Are you a skilled and passionate professional with experience in supporting NDIS participants with higher needs, requiring 24/7 support?

We are seeking highly trained and passionate individuals to provide support for 2 participants within their own homes.

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with two participants who requires in-home support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting participants in daily activities, including personal hygiene and manual handling.

• Working in accordance with PBSP guidelines.

• Collaborating with the participant’s care team to ensure consistency in support strategies.

• Regular negotiated shifts within the two homes offering stability and work life balance.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health, or related fields.

Experience: At least 12 months of recent experience in the Healthcare industry in roles such as High-Intensity Supports, Disability Complex Needs, Mental Health, Behavioural Support, Nursing, or Social Work.

Training: Certification in Manual Handling, Bowel care and Seizure Management or similar frameworks is highly desirable.

Compliance: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, , Basic Life Support/CPR certification, and First Aid qualifications are mandatory.

Transport: A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance are essential.
