Role: Fitout Supervisor

Permanent full-time | Immediate start | Workshop-based manufacturing role | Hemmant / Port of Brisbane QLD

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach and support a team of mechanical fitters and trades assistants • Allocate daily work, prioritise production tasks and monitor team progress • Ensure fit-out and assembly quality meets engineering specifications, company standards and WHS requirements • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and work instructions • Facilitate customer handovers and provide product familiarisation and basic operational guidance • Collaborate with production planning and engineering teams to meet build schedules and delivery deadlines • Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks and ensure SWMS and WHS compliance • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment • Provide performance feedback, training support and assist with team development

What You Bring

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Heavy Vehicle, Fabrication or similar trade discipline • Experience with air brake systems, 12/24-volt electrical systems and hydraulic circuits • Experience in semi-trailer or heavy transport equipment manufacturing highly regarded • Proven experience working in a manufacturing fit-out environment with team leadership responsibilities • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics • Strong communication, organisation and people leadership skills • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and meeting production deadlines
