Property Maintenance Support

Summary:

The Property Maintenance Support role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our centres across Queensland. This part-time contract position is ideal for individuals seeking entry-level experience with handyman and building type tasks, providing an opportunity to develop practical skills while contributing to the maintenance and improvement of property standards.

About You:

• No prior experience doing property maintenance or trade background necessary, just a great attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
• Solutions based thinking with a strong attention to detail and reliability
• Strong organisational and time management skills – the ability to service the centres in a timely manner focusing on prioritised tasks
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Play an active role in ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Contract role 3-4 days per week initially
• Some Weekend and Before/After hours work may be required for some tasks
• The ability to travel to support our centres across Sunshine Coast and Brisbane
• Current Manual drivers license
• Currently hold or the ability to obtain a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
• This role is for a contractor position and requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a ABN.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and general repairs
• Provide general landscaping support – such as mulching, weeding, mowing etc
• Support regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs
• Respond promptly to allocated maintenance requests
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Entry-level experience in general maintenance or a handyman tasks preferred
• Have, or be able to obtain, a Blue Card check
• No formal education required
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenge
