We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand (Support Worker) to join the team at our Early Education service in Charmhaven, NSW!

About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand (Support Worker), you’ll wear many hats – bringing an upbeat, enthusiastic, and can-do attitude while working across Laundry, Kitchen, and Housekeeping functions.
You’ll assist with basic food preparation, laundry, cleaning, and maintenance as well as managing supplies across classrooms and shared facilities.
In everything you do, you’ll follow Rise’s policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene while helping children, families and colleagues feel welcome, cared for and supported.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:
- Clear and effective communicator
- Inclusive of others, with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Motivated to build respectful and meaningful connections with colleagues, families, children, and the wider community while maintaining professional boundaries
- Dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable, with a commitment to excellence for children and willingness to grow with the service
- Confident working independently, under supervision, and within a team
- Culinary qualifications and/or experience, particularly within Early Childhood, are desirable
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications are encouraged (at your own cost).
Essential Criteria:
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary child safe practices, including safeguarding responsibilities (or willingness to develop)
- Available for permanent part-time employment, 4 hours per day (10:00 am–2:00 pm), Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required.
- Current Food Safety training (completed prior to first working shift)
- Current Child Safety training (Geccko), with a certificate to be provided (completed prior to first working shift).
