The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our Epping team. This is a full-time role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and accurate weighbridge operations, supporting both internal teams and external customers.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of incoming and outgoing vehicle weights and records, requiring strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and excellent customer service skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate the weighbridge efficiently, accurately recording all vehicle movements in line with legislation
- Process incoming and outgoing truck tickets and handle transaction payments
- Verify, classify, and enter material data accurately into the weighbridge system
- Communicate professionally with drivers, contractors, and customers
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and EPA requirements
- Support and promote site safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Manage emails, phone, and two-way radio communications effectively
- Identify and report hazards, non-conformances, and improvement opportunities
About you:
You’ll bring a proactive and reliable attitude, with the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a weighbridge, waste, quarry, or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and EPA compliance
- Sound time management and planning skills
- Confident working both independently and within a team environment
