The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Coordinator to join our newest site in Cranbourne. This is a newly created role working closely with operational leaders and employees to provide practical health and safety guidance, manage site risks and ensure safety systems and controls are implemented and maintained.
The is a full-time on-site role based in our Cranbourne location, with ad-hoc travel to other operational site in the Southeast (Hallam & Montrose)
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Support
- Provide health and safety guidance to frontline teams to assist with hazard identification, risk management and implementation of effective controls.
- Promote a positive safety culture through engagement with operational teams.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety
- Management System aligned with ISO 45001.
- Conduct risk assessments, creating safe work instructions and support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
Operational Safety & Site Controls
- Maintain site safety controls including signage, PPE, LOTO stations, emergency equipment and first aid supplies.
- Support contractor management, site inspections and field safety monitoring.
- Assist with emergency preparedness through upkeep of the site Emergency Response Plan
- Support the development and maintenance of safe work instructions and safety documentation.
Training, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with coordinating health and safety inductions and training records.
- Monitor safety data and support teams with reporting and system use.
- Participate in OHS meetings and support safety communication across the business.
Transport Safety & Injury Management
- Support transport safety in line with Chain of Responsibility obligations.
- Assist with injury management processes including Workers Compensation claims and Return to Work coordination.
About You
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (required)
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence (required)
- Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable)
- Experience in a site-based safety role within industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics or similar environments (desirable)
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Well organised with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience working around heavy vehicles, plant or machinery (desirable)
- Sound Microsoft Office skills
