Position Purpose:
This role of Administration Officer is to provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the offices and services provided of RAATSICC. This role involves managing office supplies, organising schedules, handling communications, and performing a variety of administration tasks to assist staff, management and the organisation in achieving their daily objectives.
The Opportunity:
• This position is Full-Time and is based in Cairns.
• The Administration Officer is a key support role within the organisation, handling a variety of office and crucial administrative tasks.
• Daily duties consist of (but are not limited to) providing professional customer service, answering phone calls, managing incoming emails, redirecting inquiries, handling incoming and outgoing mail.
• Be able to communicate professionally, sensitively and effectively with RAATSICC staff, clients and external stakeholders.
• Have attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information and adhere to company policies and procedures, methods and guidelines of RAATSICC.
• Professional customer service etiquette via face to face, written, telephone and online.
• Have the ability to work in a client centric driven environment to meet individual weekly, monthly and quarterly performance targets and organisational key objectives.
About You:
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality practices and organisational policy procedures.
• An ability to work in a culturally respectful and competent manner, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island young people, their families and communities, to ensure that cultural connections are fostered and maintained.
• Have an understanding of / or the ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of RAATSICC program service responses and interventions in working with vulnerable families that may be experiencing trauma and family disconnection.
• Have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Have an average level of computer skill set and of relevant technology, specifically all aspects of Microsoft Office suite.
• Have effective time management skills (punctuality, meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks).
