The Role
As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our commercial landscaping and civil works projects. Your responsibilities will include:
– Participating in HSEQ senior management meetings and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
– Overseeing projects to ensure planning and execution align with project management principles (time, cost, quality).
– Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
– Attending community and business events to foster engagement and networking opportunities.
– Representing the company positively in all client interactions.
– Driving the growth and development of project teams, fostering long-term success.
– Providing mentorship and guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations on-site.
– Identifying training needs for staff and coordinating induction or refresher courses as required.
– Maintaining consistent communication with project teams to address risks and identify opportunities.
– Identifying workplace hazards, assessing risks, and documenting control measures to mitigate risks.
– Ensuring all incidents, accidents, and injuries are promptly reported to senior management.
– Responding to emergencies both during and outside of working hours.
– Assisting teams with ad hoc tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Who Are You?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager who possesses:
– A qualification in Landscape Trade, Civil Construction, or a similar field, with significant experience in commercial landscaping or civil works project management.
– A current Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card (WHS certification).
– Ambition, energy, and self-motivation, with strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
– The ability to prioritise, self-manage, and work with minimal supervision.
– A confident and adaptable approach with a friendly, positive attitude.
– Initiative and the ability to grow your portfolio.
– A proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
– The ability to understand and communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
