The opportunity

As our business continues to expand, we’re on the lookout for driven and talented professionals to grow with us. We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Hygiene Team based in Sydney.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in occupational hygiene who thrives on variety, enjoys working with stakeholders, and is passionate about professional growth and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering occupational hygiene services across a wide range of sectors, including mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and government. You’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and reporting of hygiene monitoring programs while building strong client relationships and developing your technical and consulting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct occupational hygiene monitoring and assessments (e.g., dust, fibres, noise, MMIA, PRV, IAQ) across client sites

• Plan and execute fieldwork programs using specialised equipment (up to 20kg)

• Analyse monitoring data and prepare technical reports and recommendations

• Assist in the design and implementation of hygiene monitoring programs

• Support and mentor technicians, graduates, and junior consultants where required

• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external clients

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives within the team

• Proactively seek learning and development opportunities including conferences and professional training

• Follow and contribute to the improvement of internal policies and procedures

About you

You are a motivated and capable occupational hygiene professional who enjoys working in dynamic environments and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You have developed a strong foundation in hygiene monitoring and are ready to take greater ownership of projects while continuing to grow your consulting and technical capabilities.

You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing positively to team success.

You will bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in science, occupational hygiene, or related discipline

• Relevant experience in occupational hygiene monitoring and assessment

• Membership or progressing toward membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH) (desirable)

• Demonstrated knowledge of occupational hygiene sampling techniques and equipment

• Strong analytical, report writing, and data interpretation skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

• Flexibility for site-based local and regional travel (FIFO/DIDO as required)

• Current unrestricted Australian driver’s license

• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical
