As our pipeline expands nationally, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to strengthen our front-end capability and support bid and tender delivery across complex electrical scopes.

The Role
The Senior Electrical Estimator will lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and commercially sound electrical estimates across renewables and utility infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep electrical knowledge, strong take-off capability, and the ability to translate scope, drawings, and specifications into clear BOQs and cost plans. You will work closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and leadership to ensure estimates are robust, defensible, and aligned with delivery strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Cost Planning
• Prepare end-to-end electrical estimates for renewables and utility projects (solar, BESS, substations, HV/LV, balance of plant).
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Develop clear, structured BOQs aligned to project scope and execution methodology.
• Build first-principles estimates including labour, materials, plant, subcontractors, preliminaries, and risk allowances.
• Review and interpret client requirements, technical standards, and contractual conditions.
Commercial & Tender Support
• Support bid and tender submissions, including pricing strategies and value engineering options.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and clarify scope.
• Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities within estimates.
• Provide cost input during early works, feasibility, and pre-contract stages.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
• Use estimating and project systems to develop, manage, and track estimates.
• Experience with estimating platforms such as Procore is highly regarded.
• Contribute to the development of estimating templates, cost libraries, and benchmarks.
• Support standardisation of BOQs and cost structures across the business.
Collaboration
• Work closely with engineering and construction teams to align estimates with buildability and delivery approach.
• Support handover from estimating to project delivery teams to ensure continuity and clarity.

About You
Experience
• Senior-level experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Australian renewables and/or utilities market.
• Proven experience estimating electrical scopes across HV and LV infrastructure.
• Strong background in electrical construction, engineering, or trade-based pathways.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate take-offs, BOQs, and detailed estimates.
Technical Capability
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Ability to translate complex scope into clear, logical cost structures.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with estimating and project management systems (Procore highly regarded).
