ICT Administrator
We are seeking an experienced ICT Administrator to manage and continuously improve our on-premises and cloud-based systems. This role is critical to ensuring the availability, integrity, security, and performance of our core IT services across operational and corporate environments. This role supports both the mine site, Townsville and Brisbane environments, with hands-on infrastructure responsibilities based on site and design and administration work supporting the Brisbane office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting hyper-converged infrastructure, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise backup and recovery platforms. This is a proactive, hands-on site based role requiring strong technical depth, operational discipline, and a passion for continuous improvement.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, optimisation, and reliability of core infrastructure platforms, including:
- Managing and optimising our hyper-converged infrastructure environment.
- Administering Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory integrations.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, including advanced SharePoint Online administration, permissions, reporting, site configuration, and integration with identity and security controls.
- Overseeing Veeam backup and recovery, ensuring reliable disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Providing technical support and resolve network-related issues and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
- Working closely with internal IT and business stakeholders to drive infrastructure modernisation and continuous improvement.
- The role works closely with Cyber Security to implement and operate secure infrastructure and identity controls.
About You
- You are a technically strong and operationally minded ICT administrator who thrives in complex environments and takes ownership of outcomes. You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in an ICT administration or infrastructure role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix (Prism Central, AHV), Azure AD, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Veeam.
- Solid Windows Server administration experience and strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capability, strong documentation practices, and a safety-first mindset.
- Desirable certifications are NCP, AZ-104, and MS-102.
