We are now seeking an experienced Cardiac Nurse to join our Nursing Team.
About the Opportunity
Working from our Playford and O’Connell Street clinics, the Cardiac Nurse is responsible for performing nuclear medicine cardiac stress testing and supporting the delivery of high-quality cardiac diagnostic services. This role requires strong clinical judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to provide safe, patient centred care in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination, planning, and facilitation of cardiac stress testing within the Nuclear Medicine Department.
- Provide clear and reassuring pre procedure information to patients to help them feel prepared and comfortable.
- Deliver appropriate post procedure care and monitor patients during their recovery.
- Offer direct assistance to the performing medical officer or radiologist, which may include preparing medications, inserting IV cannulas, monitoring ECGs, and observing the patient’s clinical status throughout testing.
Who We’re Looking For
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous cardiac nursing experience within a clinical setting.
- Experience in Intensive Care, Recovery, or Emergency is desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment, ECG interpretation, haemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and the ability to recognise signs of cardiac deterioration.
- A commitment to maintaining RSA’s high standards of patient care.
