Due to business expansion, we are seeking a Stores & Logistics Coordinator (Storeperson) to take ownership of our warehouse and materials function. You will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing and project delivery by maintaining accurate, accessible, and well-controlled materials, tools, and consumables.
This is not just a storeperson role — it is a position of responsibility where organisation, accountability, and system integrity directly impact production performance. Your ability to maintain order, accuracy, and efficiency will directly support our Operations Managers, Project Managers, and Manufacturing Team in delivering high-quality switchboards on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, receipt, and store all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and condition compliance.
Maintain real-time, accurate inventory control within SimPRO, reconciling physical and system stock.
Manage stock levels and material availability to prevent manufacturing delays.
Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes, maintaining traceability of critical components.
Coordinate freight, internal transfers, and dispatch activities.
Pick, pack, and allocate materials to projects in line with production schedules.
Monitor outstanding purchase orders and proactively follow up suppliers on backorders and lead times.
Maintain a structured, clearly labelled, and efficient warehouse environment
Operate forklifts and equipment safely in accordance with WHS requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives on structure, accountability, and
operational efficiency. While primarily factory-based in Cardiff, minimal off-site work may occasionally be required.
Skills, Experience and requirements
The successful candidate will require the following experience and capabilities:
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or stores coordination.
- Forklift Licence
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate records and system integrity.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and supplier follow-ups.
- A police background check (or willingness to complete one).
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including Drug and Alcohol testing.
These additional skills and knowledge will be highly regarded:
- Knowledge or exposure to the electrical manufacturing industry.
- Certification in warehousing or supply chain operations.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience using SimPRO or similar job management software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
