About the role
Reporting to the Region Manager, the Region Coordinator
plays a key role in coordinating the day‑to‑day operational, administrative and
governance activities of the Central Region.
You’ll be a central point of contact providing practical
support, ensuring compliance with QRL requirements, and helping maintain
positive, well‑run competition environments. The role supports everything from
competition operations and regional events through to administration, reporting
and stakeholder engagement.
This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys
working across multiple priorities, building strong relationships, and keeping
regional operations running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide
operational and administrative support to the Region Manager, the Central QRL
team, leagues and clubs across the region
- Support
regional compliance, reporting, judicial and governance requirements
- Coordinate
regional meetings and committees, including agendas, minutes and follow‑up
actions
- Support
the effective delivery of regional competitions, including structures,
draws and seasonal coordination
- Assist
with the planning and logistics of regional events and carnivals
- Maintain
accurate records, databases, affiliation and insurance documentation
About you
- Proven
experience in community sport in a similar operational and administrative
support role, ideally within a sporting or not-for-profit environment.
- Well-developed
organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage
multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support team, event and program
delivery.
- Confidence
with Microsoft Office suite and using multiple different systems and
software.
- Strong
stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain
positive relationships across internal teams, clubs and volunteers.
- A
current driver’s license and Blue Card and an understanding that Rugby
League never sleeps and requires evening and weekend work.
ROLE SPECS
This
is a permanent full-time position. The salary for this position is $73,510 plus
superannuation. QRL remunerate based on the position requirements to ensure
gender pay equity in sport. We offer 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week of refresh
leave throughout the season as well as hybrid working arrangements.
