Vocational Counsellor / Social Worker / Psychologist – Vietnamese-Speaking

Pure Insights is seeking a passionate Vietnamese-speaking clinician to support culturally responsive service delivery for Vietnamese-speaking participants across the South West Sydney region.
This role aims to improve access to culturally safe counselling and vocational support for Vietnamese community members experiencing complex barriers to employment.
About the Role
You will deliver short-term, culturally responsive, solutions-focused counselling to jobseekers facing complex barriers to employment. This includes supporting individuals experiencing:
- Mental health challenges
- Trauma
- Family and relationship concerns
- Psychosocial and systemic barriers impacting employment
- Adjustment and settlement challenges where relevant
You will work closely with employment service providers and community supports to help participants build confidence, improve wellbeing, and develop pathways toward sustainable employment.
The role requires strong cultural understanding of Vietnamese communities and the ability to deliver services in Vietnamese.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work
- Full registration with AHPRA, ACA, PACFA, ASORC or AASW
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written)
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
- Experience working with complex and diverse caseloads
- Strong cultural capability and commitment to culturally safe practice
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Willingness to obtain Police and Working With Children Checks
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting Vietnamese community members or migrant communities
- Experience in employment services, vocational counselling, or community services
- Understanding of settlement, migration, or cross-cultural mental health challenges

Job Type: Casual
Hours: 1 day per week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm), with potential for additional days subject to service demand.
