Summary:

The VET Projects Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of vocational education and training (VET) projects within the public sector. Based in Melbourne CBD, this position is essential for ensuring that projects align with government policies and meet the needs of the community. The officer will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the quality and accessibility of VET services, contributing to workforce development and economic growth in Victoria.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of VET projects to ensure they meet strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including educational institutions and industry partners, to gather insights and feedback.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports on outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project development and policy recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote VET initiatives and engage stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and funding requirements throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in project management, preferably within the public sector or education sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
