As our Sales & Marketing Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the commercialisation of our products ensuring the achievement of revenue and GP budgets across all business lines (retail, wholesale and eCommerce) in Australia and New Zealand. A key aspect of the role will be managing our marketing efforts to continue to build our brand across different customer segments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Budget Achievement: 100% execution of the revenue and GP budgets across all profit centres by designing and executing successful commercialisation strategies
  2. Team Management: Lead, train and manage the sales and marketing team to achieve sales targets, maintain GP and deliver excellent customer service
  3. Process Development & Improvement: Establish and continuously identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quote to sales ratio, reduce processing times of quoting, invoicing while reducing credit notes and warranties.
  4. Quality Assurance and R&D/NDP Support: Train team members and be part of the first response team for quality issues and testing of new products.
  5. Forecasting & Inventory Management: Build, maintain and feedback forecast models to inform manufacturing and purchasing across all warehouses. Actively work with the Supply Chain team to proactively manage stock to avoid out of date stock and overstocking.
  6. Product Management, Supplier and Vendor Relations: Maintain, improve and optimise product catalogue (lines and pricing) and stock holding across the business. Liaise with key suppliers, industry bodies and vendors to procure new products and/or achieve targets and improve COGS via improved purchasing prices/marketing support/or other incentives such as rebates. Liaise with external suppliers to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and programs.
  7. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, promote career growth, and ensure a capable and motivated workforce.
  8. Reporting and Analysis: participate actively in daily management huddles, Scaling Up management meetings and SOP meetings. Generating reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and other relevant data to track progress, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in developing successful commercialisation strategies, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the plastering industry
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively internally and externally.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP system is a must
  6. Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to attend trade shows, conferences and overseas/interstate travel
  7. Leadership skills to manage the team to KPIs, and company standards (Start meetings, 1:1s, Performance reviews, monthly and quarterly meetings
