Manufacturing Operator

Pro Plaster Products is the only independent privately-owned manufacturer of plaster joint compounds in Australia. We are seeking an energetic, motivated and team orientated person, who has demonstrated experience in a production, process and quality control environment, for an immediate start at our Capalaba Factory.

This can be a physically demanding role and we are therefore seeking productive applicants that enjoys a hands-on role.

Selection Criteria:

Minimum 2 years in production experience

Mechanically minded and with a hands-on approach

An understanding of warehousing, materials handling and storage concepts

Commitment to continuous improvement

Current LF class forklift licence with counter balance forklift experience

Proven work ethic and positive ‘can do’ attitude

Good organizational & problem solving skills

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Intermediate computer skills

Understanding of safe work practices

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

Prepare batch ingredients accurately to weighted recipe requirements.

Follow and adhere to batch process flow instructions to ensure finished goods consistency.

Provide accurate batch register records

Carry out quality control tests and maintain records.

Operation of dry blender/s, wet mixer/s, and electronic scales

Packaging machine and materials handling equipment set up and operation.

Perform basic preventative maintenance of Plant and Equipment

Forklift Operation and other factory and warehouse duties across the site as instructed

This is a permanent Mon-Fri, 8h day, with overtime pay appointment and is available for an immediate start.
