We’re looking for a Head of Design who is passionate about design and leadership, to guide our hard-working, fast-paced design team. Our company publishes magazines, websites, and e-newsletters across multiple industries, while also delivering bespoke creative solutions for a broad spectrum of clients.

We are an independently owned business powered by 200 team members across offices in Melbourne and Sydney, and we are looking for a creative leader to help drive our next phase of growth. 

About the role: 

• Leading and mentoring our in-house design team. 

• Overseeing the creative direction and design quality of our print magazines. 

• Guiding the design of a wide variety of printed products. 

• Overseeing digital design across websites, EDMs, banner ads, animations and social media graphics for both client and in-house projects. 

• Managing client and in-house print and digital advertising creatives. 

• Ensuring creative consistency, efficiency, and high standards across all design output. 

• Working five days a week, on-site in our Docklands office. 

About you 

• Strong print and digital design expertise with proven creative experience. 

• 5+ years of design experience leading a team of min. 10+ designers. 

• Outstanding ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Strong organisational and project management skills. 

• Ability to lead a team while also contributing creatively when required. 

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
