In Home Care Attendant

Summary: We are seeking compassionate, reliable Caregivers to support clients in their homes including seniors, people recovering after surgery, and individuals needing short-term or ongoing assistance. Responsibilities: – Provide personal care (showering, grooming, toileting, dressing) with dignity and respect. – Assist with mobility, safe transfers, and general supervision — including post-surgery recovery support (non-clinical). – Prepare meals, complete light household duties, laundry, and maintain a safe home environment. – Provide transport to appointments, shopping, and community activities. – Offer companionship, emotional support, and promote client independence. – Give medication reminders (no administering) and monitor general wellbeing. – Support clients to follow physio/OT recovery routines (non-clinical). Qualifications: – Experience in aged care, home care, disability or personal support preferred – Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability/Health) preferred but not essential. – Nursing students (RN/EN) encouraged to apply – Manual Handling Certificate required (or willingness to obtain). – Medication Administration competency (or willingness to complete training; prompts only, no clinical administering). – Current First Aid & CPR. – National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening. – Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle. – Warm, patient, respectful, and able to work independently.
