The role
Pressure Dynamics is committed to strengthening its workforce capability through the implementation of a company-wide Competency Management Framework across both blue-collar and white-collar roles.
We are seeking a capable and driven Learning & Development professional to oversee, embed, and continuously enhance this framework, while supporting workforce planning, performance development, and organisational capability growth. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of people, governance, and operational excellence.
This role is critical in ensuring that Pressure Dynamics’ workforce capability underpins operational performance, safety, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Governing and maintaining the Competency Management Framework.
- Coordinating competency assessments and reassessment cycles.
- Supporting internal assessors to ensure consistent, defensible assessment practices.
- Analysing capability data to identify workforce gaps and development priorities.
- Facilitating performance development processes aligned to competency standards.
- Coordinating workforce planning implementation.
- Supporting remuneration and banding alignment with competency outcomes.
- Overseeing evidence collection, documentation control, and reporting.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of learning and capability systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- You are an organised and analytical capability professional who:
- Holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – TAE40122 (Essential);
- Possesses a tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related field (Desirable);
- Has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in learning & development or competency management;
- Is confident in conducting or supporting structured assessments;
- Communicates with influence across operational and leadership teams;
- Is adept at analysing workforce data and translating insights into actionable recommendations;
- Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and professional judgement;
- Brings a governance-focused mindset with meticulous attention to detail;
- Experience in engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or operational environments will be highly regarded
