The Role
We are currently seeking suitably qualified Electrical Crane Technicians or Electricians wanting to upskill to Electrical Crane Technicians to join our Cranes and Lifting Team, supporting ongoing contracts across various Defence sites in the Northern Territory. This is a full time permanent opportunity carrying out crane inspections, maintenance, fault finding and executing remedial and preventative correctives. As an Electrical Crane Technician at Pressure Dynamics, you will be tasked with carrying out inspections, maintenance, fault-finding, installation and commissioning of pedestal and gantry cranes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installations, inspections, maintenance & commissioning of the mechanical and electrical parts of Overhead Electrical Cranes & Hoists
- Conducting routine and corrective maintenance on cranes
- Perform troubleshooting and fault finding
- Preparing condition checklists and site service reports
- Replacing components
- Being proactive in bringing areas of attention to the supervisor, once inspecting and servicing cranes
- Ability to gather and present job reports/findings in a presentable manner
- Surveying/scoping up crane maintenance activities to identify labour, materials and equipment required for execution
- Replacement of crane components; i.e hooks, wire ropes, motors, brakes, limit switches, load monitoring systems, etc
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role or wanting to upskill
- Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
- ‘A’ Grade Electrical Trade License
- Australian Driver’s license
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Work Safely at Heights
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Excellent communication skills and be proficient using a computer
- Self-motivated and take ownership of the role
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Must pass national police clearance
