About the role:

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our Wholesale team, based in Gordon NSW.

This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of wholesale and value-added reseller (VAR) accounts across our IoT product portfolio. You will focus on driving sustainable revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, and strengthening long-term strategic partnerships within the telecommunications ecosystem.

You will play a key role in expanding Pivotel’s footprint across satellite and cellular IoT solutions, contributing to our continued growth in Australian and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and grow a profitable sales pipeline across Pivotel’s satellite and cellular IoT portfolios
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of wholesale and reseller accounts, ensuring strong retention and account growth.
  • Build and execute tailored account plans aligned to customer objectives and market opportunities.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive engagement, cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and health checks to mitigate churn risk and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Product, Technical Sales and Marketing teams to design customised solutions and deliver competitive commercial outcomes.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to inform Wholesale strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Represent Pivotel at industry events, partner meetings and conferences.
  • Domestic intrastate and interstate travel may be required.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in account management or business development within satellite, telecommunications, IoT, ICT or network services.
  • Strong knowledge of satellite and cellular IoT solutions.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing account strategies that drive measurable revenue growth.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to structure, negotiate and close complex agreements.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, engaging confidently with senior executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, pipeline management and sales forecasting tools.
  • A proactive, customer-centric and strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capability.
