Savquip Contracting t/a Pilbara diesel is recruiting for Heavy Diesel Technicians with following Skillset
Skills and Experience Requirements
• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Heavy Commercial vehicle technology or Mobile plant Technology
• At least [2–3] years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Demonstrated experience in fitting, maintaining industrial, mining equipment and diesel engines in heavy vehicles or mobile plant equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities
·Diagnose faults in diesel engines and associated
mechanical components using
appropriate testing equipment
and diagnostic tools.
·Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair of
diesel engines in heavy vehicles and
mobile mining equipment (e.g. haul trucks, loaders,
excavators)
·
Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble diesel engines and components in
accordance
with manufacturer
specifications
· Test
and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure optimal performance and
compliance with operational
standards
·
Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service to minimize equipment
downtime
·
Identify and replace worn or defective engine components, including fuel
systems,
transmissions, and braking
systems
·
Conduct engine performance testing and ensure equipment operates efficiently
and safely
·
Maintain accurate service records and report on mechanical issues and completed
work
·
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with site
safety
standards
Assemble, install and fit
mechanical components and equipment in accordance with
engineering drawings and
specifications
·
Dismantle, repair and reassemble machinery and mechanical parts
·
Perform maintenance and overhaul of industrial plant and equipment, including
pumps,
conveyors, crushers and
processing machinery
·
Carry out precision fitting, alignment and adjustment of mechanical components
·
Inspect equipment, identify faults and perform mechanical repairs to restore
functionality
·
Replace worn or defective parts and ensure correct tolerances and alignment
·
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
· Use
hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments to complete fitting tasks
·
Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals
·
Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment condition
·
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and comply with site safety
requirements
