About the Program
Phendit’s In-Home and Community Support Program delivers flexible disability supports across Sydney, helping participants achieve their personal goals while maintaining independence and community connection.
Our services include personal care, domestic assistance, community access, transport support, capacity building, social participation, respite, and daily living support — tailored to each participant’s unique needs.
About the Role
We are currently seeking female Disability Support Workers to support participants primarily within Western Sydney, while also servicing participants across the broader Sydney metropolitan area.
As a Phendit Support Worker, you will provide individualised in-home and community-based supports, including:
Personal care and daily living assistance
Community access and social participation
Capacity building and skill development
Meal preparation and household tasks
Transport to appointments and activities
Medication prompts (where applicable)
Behavioural and emotional support
Progress reporting and documentation
You will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, safety, and improved quality of life for our participants.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Essential Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, AIN, or equivalent
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Working With Children Check (if applicable)
Previous experience supporting people with disability (preferred)
Ability to provide personal care and manual handling support
Strong observation and reporting skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Understanding of WHS and risk management in home and community settings
Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle and current NSW Driver’s Licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
