We are on the lookout for a motivated and organised People & Culture Business Partner to join our passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR generalist experience looking to take a step into a partnering role and is keen to grow and contribute to a purpose-driven organisation supporting pharmacists right across the country.

As part of this journey, PSA has is acquired the Australasian College of Pharmacy (ACP), unifying and enhancing the pharmacy education landscape and reinforcing PSA’s position as the leading provider of pharmacist education and professional development in Australia.

About the Role

As People & Culture Business Partner, you will partner and closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in empowering leaders, engaging employees, and driving meaningful organisational outcomes. The role will support and advise employees and managers on a range of HR related matters. This includes the employment lifecycle from talent acquisition to departure, and providing a strong and relevant internal consultancy service, ensuring the compliance and effective use of policies, procedures and related documents.

In the role, you will:

  • Provide end-to-end People & Culture support to assigned business units that includes all aspects of the people lifecycle: workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, organisational design, and offboarding to achieve PSA’s strategic and operational goals.
  • Partner with managers to deliver practical, evidence-based people solutions; coach and advise on effective leadership, engagement, and compliance with PSA policies, employment law, and industrial instruments; develop sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to attract high-quality professionals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor strengthening leadership capability, employee wellbeing, and values-led culture, with operational delivery including payroll coordination (with Payroll team), policy development/review, external provider relationships, employee file maintenance, data integrity, and compliance reporting.
  • Oversee the learning and development cycle, partnering with managers to identify and address capability needs that will support and deliver organisational goals.
  • Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the Manager – People & Culture to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Support the Manager – People & Culture to develop and implement the PSA People Plan.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture in line with PSA’s values.
  • Oversee work health and safety incidents and reporting, escalating as required.
  • Ensure workers compensation and WHS outcomes are managed effectively and proactively to reduce risk across PSA creating a safe working environment.
  • Support the WHS Committee as required, modelling proactive safety behaviours and psychological wellbeing in the workplace.

About You

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role covering a range of generalist HR functions.
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or currently studying) and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Practical knowledge of contemporary and progressive Human Resources practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting HR functions including compliance and knowledge of legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships and trust.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to use discretion and judgement in messaging on a variety of topics related to staff.
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to analyse and make recommendations to managers on best course of action.
  • Right to work in Australia and a valid Working with Vulnerable People check.
