We are seeking an early-career IT professional to join our small, high-impact ICT team as an IT Systems Support Officer.
About the role
The role provides frontline IT support while offering hands-on exposure across enterprise systems, SaaS administration, identity management and infrastructure operations.
We are a small and dynamic team and you will therefore gain broad technical exposure rather than being confined to a narrow helpdesk function. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build strong foundational skills across multiple technologies and grow over time.
In the role, you will:
Help Desk & User Support:
- Provide Level 1 support across Microsoft 365, Windows devices and PSA business systems
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and SaaS access issues
- Support staff with varying levels of technical confidence in a clear, patient and professional manner
- Manage and update tickets within the IT service management system
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning and device setup
- Escalate complex issues appropriately
Saas & Systems Administration Support:
- Assist in the administration of:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams
- Salesforce (basic user management and data tasks)
- Moodle (user and enrolment support
- Other PSA SaaS platforms
- Support identity and access management processes
- Assist with routine data hygiene and user access reviews
Infrastructure & Operational Support:
- Assist with device deployment and configuration
- Support routine system maintenance tasks and monitoring
- Assist with endpoint management and patching processes
- Support backup verification and operational checks
Documentation & Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain and improve IT documentation and knowledge base articles
- Document repeatable processes to reduce operational risk
- Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements
- Participate in small IT projects and system enhancements

About you:
- Qualification in Information Technology or related discipline (university, TAFE or equivalent practical experience)
- Foundational understanding of:
– Windows operating systems
– Microsoft 365
– Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn across multiple systems
Desirable
- Exposure to Azure AD / Entra ID
- Exposure to Salesforce or CRM platforms
- Exposure to Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle)
- Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge
- Awareness of IT service management principles (e.g. ITIL)
