PWDA is seeking a Sydney-based Data Quality Specialist who understands that data is only useful when it improves the real experiences of people with disability.

This role will strengthen and refine reporting, monitoring, compliance and quality systems across PWDA, ensuring our information is reliable, accessible and used to improve advocacy outcomes. You will work closely with Advocacy teams to embed data quality and compliance frameworks, build staff capability, and ensure our reporting reflects respect for disability, community accountability and service impact.

About the role

We are looking for a Data Quality Specialist who wants to work in a values-driven, disability-led organisation and who sees quality, compliance and reporting as part of delivering respectful, rights-based services.

You will support the Individual Advocacy leadership team by creating dashboards and reports, and by reducing organisational risk through specialist data assurance processes.

You will work directly with leaders and frontline staff to translate reporting requirements into practical tools, guidance and training that support consistent, sustainable data practices. We are seeking someone who strengthens systems without creating burden and builds confidence in reporting processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience leading reporting and compliance processes focused on outcomes, including analysing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated ability to ensure data accuracy across different systems and reporting methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use initiative and sound judgement to identify risks and test solutions.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting systems, including designing dashboards, automating workflows, and producing insights that support compliance and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and meaningful way for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within governance and compliance frameworks, building productive relationships with colleagues, managers, and funders.
