Casual Pool Bicycle Mechanics
People on Bicycles, a social enterprise getting more people to ride a bicycle through innovative, hands-on behaviour change programs. We are rapidly growing and are looking for suitable candidates with the righ mind-set.
We are seeking experienced Bicycle Mechanics to join our team in O’Connor, Western Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing bicycle services, sales, refurbishments, and keeping our bicycle fleet in exceptional condition.
You will be fast, but meeting deadlines won’t require you to cut corners. You’ll work as part of a small, dedicated team, but also enjoy operating solo. You’ll thrive on challenges, but don’t mind churning out high quality work on repeat. You love the detail, but can also see the big picture.
This is a casual pool recruitment with the potential for moving into a part-time or full-time role for the right candidate.
What you will bring to the role:
– Perform high-quality and efficient bicycle mechanic tasks including repairs and maintenance
– Provide exceptional customer service to clients
– Assist with workshop organization and inventory management
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer and team interaction
Your skills:
– Experienced Bicycle Mechanic with solid, minimum 2 year experience
– Excellent communication skills
– Attention to detail
– Ability to work independently without supervision
– Enthusiasm to travel across WA if necessary
– Adherence to workplace health and safety procedures and relevant regulations.
– Proficiency with common bicycle repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
– Knowledge of bicycle parts, component compatibility, and assembly procedures.
– First Aid certificate preferred
Qualifications:
– Cert IV in mechanics or similar desirable
– Driver’s license and ability to drive with a trailer, or enthusiasm to learn
– First Aid and CPR
– WWCC

Duration: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent, part-time or full-time employment for the right candidate
Hourly rate: $41- $51/hour depending on experience
