About the role
Peninsula Hot Springs is seeking a visionary and commercially astute Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead enterprise-wide technology, digital transformation, and data strategy.
This is a pivotal executive role responsible for shaping and delivering a fully integrated, data-driven operating environment that enhances guest experience, drives operational excellence, and supports business growth.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will position technology as a strategic enabler across all areas of the business – from bookings and guest experience to finance, workforce management, and beyond.
Key responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation
- Lead PHS’ technology and digital transformation strategy aligned to business growth plan
- Deliver a fully integrated, data-driven technology ecosystem across booking systems, POS, retail, ERP, Finance and more
- Develop and execute a future-focused technology roadmap, including AI and automation opportunities
- Lead the technology and digital transformation road map managing project delivery risks, external consultants, and vendor contracts ensuring project runs to budget and timelines
Technology Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee all enterprise systems, infrastructure, cloud services, and platforms
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and high performing
- Establish and manage SLAs to support operational excellence
Guest Experience & Digital Innovation
- Enhance the end-to-end guest journey through seamless digital and on-site experiences
- Partner with operational and marketing teams to deliver innovative, personalised solutions
Data, Cyber Security & Governance
- Lead cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance frameworks
- Implement robust risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans and policies
- Drive a centralised data strategy to enable insights and AI-driven decision making
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Lead system integration, automation, and process improvement initiatives
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of enterprise technology platforms across
PHS.
- Lead system configuration, testing, deployment and change management
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend and implement solutions that support long-term innovation and growth.
Financial Management
- Manage technology budgets aligned to strategic priorities
- Ensure strong ROI and cost optimisation across all technology investments
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and lead a high-performing, innovative technology team
- Manage key vendor and stakeholder relationships
- Drive organisational adoption of new systems through effective change management
About you
You are a strategic and hands on technology leader with a strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide transformation in complex, customer-centric environments.
Essential experience & skills:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Significant senior leadership experience in technology, digital or IT operations
- Proven success delivering large-scale digital transformation programs
- Experience within hospitality, hotels, resorts, or complex guest environments highly regarded
- Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity
- Experience managing multi-vendor environments and enterprise systems (CRM, POS, ERP, bookings, payroll, etc.)
- Commercial acumen with the ability to translate technology into business outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
