Accounts Payable Officer

Opportunity for a Accounts Payable Officer to join an innovative and active market leader in the property and construction industry with exposure across many asset classes.

The Role

This is a hands-on role for an ambitious Accounts Payable professional to join a fast-paced and rapidly growing business. In this role you will:

1. Accounts Payable

· Sort and distribute incoming mail

· Sort incoming invoices by entity and by construction/non construction

· Liaise with contract administrators/project managers to sort, code and match invoices

· Review supplier vendor invoices for appropriate documentation prior to distribution to site team for approval and entering into system

· Process suppliers pay runs in timely manner

· Prepare ad hoc payments at director requests

· Be the point of contact and communicate with creditors and internal regarding outstanding accounts and payment of outstanding accounts

· Maintain vendor database (including ABN/GST details)

· Reconcile vendor statements – research and correct discrepancies

· Ensure compliance with AP processes and policies, including tracking of invoices through the office and the following of protocol in regard to raising and closing off invoices

· Inform other staff and/or outside parties regarding procedural requirements for the purposes of processing transactions

· EOM reporting when required by Site teams and management

2. Miscellaneous

· Provide administrative assistance when required

· At the discretion of management, you will be required to perform tasks that are not included in the above specification. You must take ownership of these tasks as if they were job specific

The Candidate

· Highly developed, strong organisational skills and the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities

· The ability to effectively plan and prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision

· Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative

· An eye for detail, competent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new skills and tasks

· Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) are considered essential as is the ability to effectively plan and prioritise all activities

· Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in using multiple technology platforms and software, including Xero and Microsoft applications

· Exhibit a professional presentation

· Understand the value of discretion and confidentiality

· Property background will be highly regarded
