The Opportunity
The Warehouse Storeman are a key role in a small responsive team with a high degree of self-management & growth potential. Responsibilities for warehouse duties include but are not limited to, picking & packing of orders, loading & unloading of trucks or vehicles, receiving and despatch of items, ensuring that the warehouse is safe, organised and provides efficient service to our customers both internal & external.
Responsibilities
- Processing/picking/dispatch of orders.
- Operating forklifts to pick and store stock when necessary.
- Managing, maintaining and championing quality standards.
- Ensuring all non-compliance reports are managed in accordance with prescribed processes and promptly reported.
- Perform or assist with stock checks and stocktakes.
- Manage internal and external communications where required, including liaising with internal stakeholders (such as sales and customer service) regarding any updates to deliveries.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Warehouse department.
- Management of raw materials to & from production processes.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A current and valid Forklift Licence (LF/ LO) (required).
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role or similar (required).
- Sound knowledge of warehouse operation using RF scanning equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Exceptional time management skills and a high level of attention to detail.
