Our Food & Beverage Manager is seeking an organised and motivated Event & Sales Coordinator to join our Food & Beverage functions team. This role is responsible for coordinating all function and event bookings from enquiry through to post-event follow-up while driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure events run smoothly, meet client expectations, and contribute to the organisation’s revenue growth.
What is involved in the role?
Event Coordination & Administration
- Manage the full lifecycle of function and event bookings, including enquiries, proposals, confirmations, function sheets and post-event follow-up.
- Accurately capture client requirements and coordinate with internal teams for staffing, catering, room set-ups, audiovisual requirements and event timelines.
- Respond promptly to client enquiries and professionally manage any issues or complaints
Sales & Business Development
- Convert qualified enquiries into confirmed events through proactive follow-up and tailored proposals.
- Identify new markets and customer opportunities through research and networking.
- Arrange meetings with prospective clients and promote the organisation’s products and services.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of sales, invoices, contracts, event details and client communications.
Teamwork & Culture
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless events.
About you
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Functions & Events administration
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Outstanding organisational and time-management with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills
