Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve housekeeping services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in travel and tourism.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with staff and guests.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in housekeeping.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
