About our Media and Communications Team

About the Role
You will play a crucial role in the National Impact team to drive media excellence across the organisation and promote the work of OzHarvest across various media channels. You will lead the national earned media strategy, manage proactive pitching and reactive requests, strengthen brand and campaign visibility and protect our reputation, while remaining highly hands-on in day-to-day media operations. This role requires a strong communications professional who understands the Australian media landscape, preferably with established contacts. Working closely with the National Brand & Comms Lead and social media team you will oversee the growth and impact of OzHarvest’s social media channels, ensuring our storytelling content stands out from the scroll.

About You
• 8–10+ years’ experience in media or communications roles
• Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape
• Significant experience handling reactive media
• Experience leading national campaign media strategies
• Team leadership and direct report management
• Exceptional writing skills and strong eye for detail
• A can-do will-do attitude to thrive in a dynamic work environment
