About the role:

Part-Time | 3 Days a Week (22.8 hours)

Join OzHarvest in a vital role that maximizes the impact of our food rescue operations in Victoria! As a Food Rescue Engagement Coordinator, you’ll drive donor relationships, enhance food rescue efficiencies, and make a real difference in reducing food waste. You’ll be working closely with donors, agencies, and internal teams to ensure food is rescued and redistributed to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance Donor Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong, sustainable relationships with donors (supermarkets, food services, etc.).
  • Drive food waste diversion goals with donors and increase impact through regular site visits and communications.
  • Present improvements and new services to donors and help them achieve their targets.

Business Development & Growth Planning:

  • Identify opportunities to increase food volumes and distribution channels.
  • Research trends and work with internal teams to create tailored solutions for donors.
  • Pitch and develop proposals that align with donor goals.

Research & Coordination:

  • Forecast donor and redistribution targets to meet management goals.
  • Collaborate with logistics and driver teams to maximize food rescue efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and manage training tools to resolve specific operational issues.

Work Health & Safety (WHS):

  • Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide support with logistical tasks as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in customer service, relationship-building, or managing third-party providers.
  • Familiarity with supermarket operations and large food donor systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems, KPI reporting, and MS Office.
  • Current driver’s license, police check, Working with Children’s Check, and food safety qualifications.
