Through our education programs and advocacy work, we aim to inspire others to change their behaviour and help achieve the national target of halving food waste by 2030.

About the role: Are you passionate about making a difference? We are seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Food Rescue Coordinator. This role will oversee the daily operations of our Melbourne Food Rescue Drivers. You’ll be the leader and decision-maker in your space, creating a positive culture and motivating your team to achieve strategic goals around Quality, Quantity, and Consistency.

You’ll work alongside our current Food Rescue Coordinator and be guided by the Operations Lead to implement and continually improve processes and tools used to achieve these goals. Responsibilities include running all daily and forward-planning operations in the Crittah Logistics System, liaising with donors and agencies regarding pickups and deliveries, ensuring a safe and well-maintained fleet, and adhering to all safety regulations from both an OH&S and food safety perspective.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Past experience in a logistics role and leading people
  • Experience managing internal and external relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and planning skills, balanced with the ability to react quickly to events and prioritise in a fast-moving environment
