The Role

A dynamic, creative and commercially minded professional is needed to join our vibrant and growing in house marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for hair, beauty, events, influencer marketing and brand storytelling. This full time position suits a highly proactive, organised and confident communicator who can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and deliver measurable results.

The Marketing Specialist will lead and manage high-impact marketing initiatives across events, partnerships, PR and consumer engagement. He/she creates guidelines for content creators that can support trades and salons, as well as working closely with colleagues in Sales and Education and with our external partners to deliver integrated campaigns that elevate brand awareness, drive sales and build long-term customer loyalty.

Based at our Academy in South Melbourne, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and aligning work with our marketing strategy, this role will ideally be filled around mid April 2026 to allow for a handover, as it’s a well established position, and it will see you working both in and out of the office, managing events, activations and partnerships across Australia. Please note that national travel is required on occasion.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across digital, PR, social and experimental channels.
  • Ensure campaigns are on-brand, commercially focused and data-driven.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.

Events & Activations

  • Plan, coordinate and execute brand-led events, industry shows and education activations.
  • Manage budgets, timelines and stakeholder communication.
  • Deliver exceptional event experiences aligned with brand objectives.
  • Travel as required for events and activations.

Influencer & Ambassador Management

  • Identify, negotiate and manage influencers and ambassador partnerships.
  • Develop creative collaboration briefs.
  • Track performance metrics and ROI.

Public Relations & Partnerships

  • Work closely with PR agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Manage press releases, media pitching and product seeding.
  • Build and maintain strong industry relationships.

About You

  • Formal qualifications in marketing, business, communications, advertising, or a related field (required)
  • Proven experience running and managing events end to end
  • Experience within the hair and beauty industry (highly regarded)
  • Experience working with influencers and brand ambassadors
  • Experience liaising with PR agencies
  • Strong event planning and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work proactively, independently and meet deadlines
  • A flexible approach with the ability to travel when required
  • You are organised, commercially aware, and creative
