We are seeking a highly motivated person with exposure in a similar role or industry to join our Crestmead/Yatala Manufacturing Teams. This role will oversee both sites as Maintenance is required.
The position is minimum of 38 hours per week, plus overtime as required and possible travel to other local sites.
The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the role’s primary focus is to:
- Maintain the day-to-day performance of the Production Teams machinery focusing on safety, productivity, efficiency, cost and up-time performance
- Ensure active Maintenance Agreements are in place to support a proactive position in servicing critical machinery and tools
- Assist (and/or possibly lead) any KPO initiative or Project as directed by the Manufacturing Manager that may require high level complexity to complete
- Complete allocated CI initiatives as directed by the Manufacturing Manager & Projects Manager
- Provide a central point of knowledge excellence in machinery & tools, and high-level technical support to all internal staff to solve problems and educating on technical specifications & processes
- Create and maintain various documentation, technical information and end user procedures and instructions to support the IP knowledge bank of the business
- Be a strong advocate in driving the master plan for the Q1 manufacturing facility focussing on flow, elimination of waste, efficiency & continuous improvement, educating staff through various mediums to achieve the facility operating as a single unit
- Promote teamwork between all Manufacturing & Supply Chain teams to ensure all are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements in the key areas of Safety and the Award
In summary, the Maintenance Officer is a key person in the organisation and is primarily responsible
to ensure adequate up-time efficiency to the Production Teams machinery and tools whilst assisting
to deliver all Special Projects, KPO’s & CI initiatives on time and on budget.
The Applicant
The Ideal Candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- A track record of delivering complex projects
- Strong knowledge or willingness to learn of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- An ability to influence senior decision-makers
- Experience using A3 Project Plans, LEAN Tools, Microsoft Office & SAGE (preferable)
- Current Forklift License (Required)
- Current Driver’s License (Required)
- Current First Aid Certificate (Bonus)
