Ox Engineering is looking for a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop in Canning Vale. This is a hands-on role working across custom builds, repairs and modifications for mining and industrial clients.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
Fitting, assembling and installing custom truck bodies and mechanical components
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
Carrying out routine inspections and maintenance on mining support equipment
Working closely with boilermakers and supervisors to deliver quality builds
Assisting with commissioning and job packs for bespoke equipment
Maintaining safe work practices at all times
✅ What We’re Looking For
Australian trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
Experience in heavy industry, mining or similar environments
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
Ability to read drawings and work independently when required
Reliable, team-focused and straight-up attitude
💥 Bonus Points (Not Essential)
Forklift ticket or HR licence
Confined space / working at heights
Welding or boilermaker crossover skills
Experience with hydraulic systems or mobile plant
