Otic Group is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to support our client as part of a major transformation of its core systems.
Our client is currently modernising three critical platforms, transitioning them into a series of modular, Azure-based solutions that leverage existing cloud capabilities. This role will play a key part in supporting project teams and contributing to the build, deployment, and ongoing reliability of these systems.
About the Role
You will take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure delivery, provide technical leadership, and help uplift the maturity of Azure-based platforms across our client’s environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and test Azure-based infrastructure solutions aligned with business and project requirements
- Provide systems and cloud expertise to enhance and improve existing solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) issues
- Own end-to-end delivery of assigned work packages, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing technical leadership and direction
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and influence key stakeholders
- Ensure deadlines are met and produce high-quality technical and design documentation
- Contribute to on-call support for infrastructure services
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational and project outcomes
Essential Skills and Experience
Applicants must demonstrate strong, hands-on experience in enterprise Azure environments, including:
- Implementation of enterprise IT solutions using Azure services
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Serverless Compute (Azure Functions, Web Apps)
- Storage (Blob and File)
- Integration (Service Bus, Event Hub)
- Identity (Azure Active Directory, Azure B2C)
- API Management (APIM)
- Key Vault
- Azure SQL and SQL Managed Instance
- Identity Governance
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using ARM and/or Bicep templates
- Managing and migrating solution infrastructure to Azure
- Applying risk management principles in an infrastructure context
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Security Requirements
- Active Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory prior to commencement
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain Negative Vetting as required
Over and above this, you’ll have the ability to act as a consultant – offering technical insights, sharing your knowledge, and collaborating with clients.
