Salary Range: $80,000 – $85,000 plus Superannuation

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Chef De Partie to join our Food Services team. Reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences for residents, staff, and visitors. From daily meals in the dining hall, to the Junior Common Room offerings, through to internal and external events and conferences, this is a diverse and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day food operations including preparation, cooking, baking, butchery, and pastry.

• Ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of meals.

• Setting up, packing down, and maintaining excellent kitchen cleanliness and organisation.

• Managing and maintaining a section of the kitchen with high standards of hygiene and stock control.

• Assisting with training and supporting casual kitchen team members.

• Contributing creativity and initiative to menu development and service improvements.

• Providing friendly, professional service and building positive relationships with residents.

• Ensuring compliance with all OH&S, Food Safety, and workplace requirements.

About You

You are a motivated, community-minded chef with a strong foundation of culinary skills and a genuine enthusiasm for food and service. You thrive in a team environment, have great attention to detail, and enjoy contributing to a welcoming dining experience.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant trade qualification.

• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.

• Sound knowledge of food preparation across a variety of kitchen areas.

• Proven ability to work in a safe, hygienic, and professional manner.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

• Enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to excellent customer service.

• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

• Full working rights in Australia.
